The girls and I went to the Interact Club's charity dinner on Friday. It was hosted by Phhs instead of Independence, although the event was amongst both schools. Its purpose was to raise money for the Dominican Republic -to provide them with clean water.
Overall, the dinner wasn't that bad, but it wasn't as fun as I had hoped. Jennifer, Alyson and I wore our fancy dresses, and Melani wore her tunac. I was afraid we'd be too formal, but it's always better to be overdressed than under dressed anyway. We sat at table 16, the only table left when we arrived. The food wasn't too shabby, but again, anything would have tasted delcious to me at the moment. After all, we were pretty much the last ones to get food due to the random order tables were called up. The performances were only okay, but at least they were entertaining. The event ended with a raffle, in which all the winners consisted of Independence students. All six of them.
One thing to look foward to...
One thing that's keeping me from dreading the next week of school...
